ACT Medical Transportation exists because failure wasn’t an option.

It started with our grandfather. He needed early-morning dialysis, so we trusted a big-name transport company. That trust was misplaced. Missed pickups. Zero communication. A reckless stop that left him injured. That was the breaking point. Our community deserved better, and someone had to build it.

With his words pushing us forward — “Just go for it” — we bought our first van in March 2020. Same day California shut down. Bad timing on paper. Necessary timing in reality.

In the beginning, ACT was just the two of us doing everything ourselves. Late-night discharges. Long-distance runs. No shortcuts. No excuses. Every transport done properly, every passenger treated like family, because that’s exactly how this company was built.

ACT has grown since then, but the standard hasn’t changed. We’re still family-run. Still hands-on. Still obsessive about the basics others ignore: show up on time, communicate clearly, and move people safely and respectfully.

We handle wheelchair and gurney transports, hospital discharges, stair assistance, and scheduled or same-day needs. No foreign call centers. No chaos. No runaround. Just professional, local service that works.

To keep response times low and quality high, we’ve expanded into Folsom — without diluting what made ACT dependable in the first place.
